Self-Publishing: Amazon A+ Content
A.D. SterlingShare
Amazon allows you to add additional content using a few different layouts using what they call A+ Content. This shows on the product page in the "From the Publisher" section.
I was particularly excited to add this for my Angria picture book since there is very little context for buyers to understand what the inside of the book might look like. It also allowed me to explain a bit more about what the book is about.
To add this section to any KDP page, go to your book in your kdp.amazon.com bookshelf, hover the "..." and click the "Promote and Advertise" link.
Scroll to the bottom of the page, select a marketplace and click "Manage A+ Content"
In the A+ Content Manager click "Start Creating A+ Content". From here you can select from pre-defined layouts to add additional information about your book. These are somewhat limiting and unfortunately there's no free-form options, but it gets the job done. Once you have the layout you like you can assign it to your book(s) (note, the ASIN can be found on the Bookshelf page).
Now that I have translated versions of the book I'm excited to feature those to help promote these other editions using the available comparison carousel.
Once you publish it, it can take up to 7 days for it to be approved and available on your product page. I've seen some changes publish within 24 hours, but others have taken longer.
